On Saturday 17th of May, the exquisite Austins Vineyard on the BellarinePeninsula played host to the stunning wedding of Scott & Belle. The family run property set in the heart of the Moorabool Valley, amongst the rolling vines & cascading greenery, made it the perfect landscape for the couple’s celebration.
With several accolades & awards to their name, this busy winery is undoubtedly one of Victoria’s premier wine producers and they certainly pulled out all the stops to ensure that son, Scott’s big day, was one to remember! The grounds of the property showcased a stunning transformation, with the free standing barn being used as the main setting for the event. Inside the space an elaborate stage of huge oak wine barrels had been set on top of one another (using a industrial rack system) to pan across an entire back feature wall, creating a spectacular visual image. A drape of Festoon lighting had also been hung across the barrels, highlighting the dramatic impact of this creation.
Under the expertise guidance of Laura, the talented team at Weddings of Desire, were behind the beautiful styling & design for the day, carrying out the theme of a rustic, French affair. Tying in with the quaint lighting across the backdrop, the entire barn had been lit by candles clustered along the two long seating tables, which emulated the intimate nature of the special day. Stunning florals featured throughout the venue, along the dining tables & on top of various oak barrels accompanied by dainty candle holders.
As the ceremony concluded, guests were invited through to the first area of the barn where the stunning barrel backdrop made for an impressive talking point. The main dining section had been cordoned off by floor length muslin drapes, leaving an element of surprise to the evenings proceedings. Mr. Collins and his trusty team served up an array of mouth watering canapés, accompanied by a selection of classic cocktails, to get the night underway. With the final flick of the Boston shaker and the drapes pulled back, everyone was ushered through to the revealed dining area, where a banquet style feast was laid on by TC finest, Chef Michael Fox. The delicate Mezze style entrées & banquette mains were complimented by the eloquent classic French crockery & glassware, provided by the consummate professionals at Place Settings.
Throughout the evening’s celebrations, Austin’s finest wines filled the glasses, along with Mumm champagne to follow the French theme. To conclude the dinner service, Mr. Collins & his team rolled out a roving canapé selection of desserts to the delighted guests. With it’s rustic styling, opulent stage & feast of delights, the divine wedding of Scott & Belle, has certainly earned its place in Mr Collin’s wedding album!
